1. Who we are (Data Controller)
Fare Design B.V., registered in the Netherlands (KVK 95459081), John Franklinstraat 77-2, Amsterdam, is the controller of your personal data. For any question about this policy or your data, contact federico@faredesign.info.
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:
Identity and contact data: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional).
Billing data: billing address, and for business clients, company name, VAT number and Chamber of Commerce number.
Property data: the address of your property, links to public listings (Funda, Pararius), floor plans and documents you upload, living surface, purchase price or intended offer, energy label, foundation and monument status, and any other information you provide about your property and renovation goals.
Transaction data: records of the services you purchase and payments you make.
Technical data: basic information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as IP address and browser type, through cookies (see clause 7).
3. Why we collect it and the legal basis
To assess and deliver the service you request (E1 to E7). Legal basis: performance of a contract, and pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
To issue invoices and meet our tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
To communicate with you about your project. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
To improve our website and, where you consent, for analytics and marketing. Legal basis: your consent.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
We share your data only with the service providers we need to run our business, and only to the extent necessary:
Plug&Pay and Mollie (payment processing) — European providers.
Jortt (invoicing and accounting) — European provider.
Squarespace (website and forms), Google (email and file storage), Airtable (project administration) and Calendly (scheduling) — these providers may process data on servers outside the European Union, principally in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the safeguards required under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not share your data with any other third party unless required by law.
5. How long we keep it
Billing and transaction data: seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.
Project and personal data of a client whose project does not proceed beyond the initial phase: deleted within one year.
Data we hold on the basis of your consent is kept until you withdraw that consent.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. You may also withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact federico@faredesign.info. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies make the site work and do not require your consent. Other cookies, such as those used for analytics and marketing, are only placed with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner shown when you first visit the site. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time.
8. Security
We treat all personal data as confidential and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on our website.
